About ACIC

A Local Coalition for Immunization Access, Education, and Confidence

The Allegheny County Immunization Coalition, or ACIC, connects local partners working to improve immunization access, education, and confidence across Allegheny County.

About ACIC

Immunization work happens in clinics, pharmacies, schools, public health programs, community organizations, and everyday conversations with families.

ACIC helps those partners stay connected, share resources, and support timely vaccination across the lifespan.

Our Mission

ACIC promotes immunizations across the lifespan.

The coalition’s long-standing goal is community immunity: strong vaccination coverage that helps protect individuals, families, and people who are more vulnerable to serious illness.

Why a Coalition Matters

Immunization work does not happen in one place. It happens in clinics, pharmacies, schools, public health programs, community organizations, and family conversations.

ACIC helps local partners stay connected, share resources, and support timely vaccination across Allegheny County.

How ACIC Is Structured

ACIC is not a standalone nonprofit. It operates as a local coalition with fiscal and administrative support from the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation.

A volunteer Executive Committee helps guide coalition priorities, programming, and partnerships.

Supported by the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation

In July 2025, ACIC began operating with fiscal and administrative support from the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation.

This gives ACIC a stable fiscal conduit and administrative home while keeping the coalition focused on local immunization education, outreach, and partner collaboration.
