About ACIC

Welcome to the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition (ACIC)! We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting immunizations and disease prevention across all stages of life in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

New Partnership with the Allegheny County Medical Society

In July 2025, the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition became a program of the Allegheny County Medical Society Foundation.

This strategic partnership ensures ACIC remains a trusted and independent force for vaccine education in Western Pennsylvania—even as national funding sources grow more uncertain.

By joining forces with ACMS, we’re expanding our operational capacity, stabilizing our grassroots impact, and continuing to serve the community through programming like our annual Immunization Conference and school-based outreach.

Our mission remains the same—now with even stronger infrastructure behind it.

Action-Oriented Collaboration

ACIC is an organization that believes collaborative action can drive positive change. They work together to implement impactful projects and foster strategic partnerships to increase vaccine uptake in Allegheny County.

As a cornerstone of public health advocacy, the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition (ACIC) is dedicated to achieving and upholding optimal immunization coverage for every resident, reducing the risks of serious illness, disability, and mortality. ACIC is led by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, guided by a part-time Grant Coordinator for outreach efforts and a part-time Administrator for administrative support.

ACIC relies on public grants to fund its initiatives. The Board of Directors oversees the allocation of these resources, ensuring decisions are made in the best interest of the community and following grant guidelines. This commitment allows ACIC to pursue its mission of promoting health and preventing disease through immunization.
